  • In a sentence: Our Salsa & Guac Challenge is a great way to bond with your coworkers while you break bread (or tortilla chips) together! This event needs to take place in a hotel so the catering staff supplies the ingredients while we bring the fun!
  • Group Size: 20 to 150
  • Team Size: 5 to 10
  • Typical Duration: 1.5 Hours
  • Setting: Indoor or Outdoor
  • Activity Intensity: Low (we're talking chopping tomatoes!)

What better way to build camaraderie than to cooking a meal together?! And what better way to build trust than to actually eat the food together afterward?!! Our culinary events give your group the opportunity to bake – and break bread together!

Whether you are making Salsa & Guacamole or competing in a Mixology or Iron Chef Challenge, at the start your group will gather into their teams. Each team will be given a preparation area complete with a blender, bowls, cutting boards, knives, etc.

There will be other tables set up in the area with dozens of ingredients for the teams to consider and ultimately use for their recipes.

Teams will compete in a variety of short, entertaining food-related challenges. (They might play Name That Tune (with songs with a food or drink in the title), or they might be asked to arrange ten peppers in order of how “hot” they are, or they might compete to do something hilarious with Oreo cookies!

The winning team in each challenge will get to pick their first ingredient, second place will choose second, etc. After several challenges the teams will have their main ingredients and they will then begin creating their culinary masterpieces.

Each team will also need to come up with a 30-second presentation about their creations. This presentation can be in the form of a commercial, a poster, or even a jingle. “Arts and Crafts” tables will also be set up around the area for participants to use during the presentations.

After about an hour each team will be asked to make their presentation in front of the entire group. They will then cast their ballots for the best presentations. The teams will then have the opportunity to taste their competition’s culinary creations!! After all the samples have been tasted, each team will again cast their ballots, this time for the best dish (or drink!)
Our staff will tally the scores and announce the winners while you eat, drink and be merry!
