Voyage LA’s Interview with Feet First Co-Founder, Kevin Cloutier

This year, Feet First’s co-founder, Kevin Cloutier, had the chance to sit down and give an interview to the writing staff over at Voyage LA. It’s a great opportunity to learn a bit more about Kevin’s story and, more specifically, how his vision and creative background in television helped to establish Feet First as a different type of team building company. With so many of our staff having roots in LA, we’re happy that our story is getting out there in a publication that’s dedicated to showcasing the great people, organizations and events that make LA the wonderful city that it is! Cooking Event in Ronald McDonald House

During Feet First Company Holiday Party, we took our staff to the Ronald McDonald House in Southern California. We got the chance to cook meals for some amazing people. These families who are staying there while their children are in area hospitals receiving treatments for a variety of serious illnesses. The people are from all over the world. While the food was being prepared, the families were able to try and wrap their heads around some life size versions of Jenga and Memory. Children, some of whom are ill and others are the siblings of the kids in the hospitals,…

How Do I Measure the Effectiveness of Team Building

There is a significant difference between doing a couple of team building exercises in your conference room and getting assistance from professionals. While Bob from accounting can be an engaging character, he is not a trained expert who can get real team building results. If you want to get measurable results with your team building efforts, then you need to utilize a professional agency that knows how to set up and administer effective exercises. But how do you measure the effectiveness of team building? Is there a way that you can actually determine the value of your investment? When…

Cool Shoes, Great Cause; Charitable Team Building

We always enjoy a chance to share some of the creations that our clients have come up with during our Team Building events.. That’s especially true when it’s one of our charitable (CSR) events. When it comes to creativity, everyone seems to dig a little deeper when they know they’re passing something on. Our Style Your Soles charitable team building event is one of the best examples of this, combining Tom’s great commitment to donating one pair of shoes for every pair purchased and taking advantage of the (often untapped) design ability of our clients. Here we have a few…

Holiday Team Building with a Charitable Twist

During the holiday season, many or our team building clients choose a holiday team building event with a charitable cause to round off one year and begin another. Being the season of both giving and fellowship, it’s truly hard to find a more fitting (and fun) activity than a charitable (or CSR) team building event for the holidays. Never losing site of our core mission of bringing teams closer together through engagement and camaraderie, Feet First’s CSR events align team building goals with clients’ desire to contribute to good causes (And, we should note, we’re always left in admiration of our clients’ level of dedication to their…

Below, our Los Angeles team has captured a few highlights from the last several months. It’s been our pleasure to work with such dynamic groups in the LA area, and we hope that shines though in some of our recent snapshots. Some of our good looking Los Angeles Team Building staff, primed for an event being held at Paramount Studios:   Some very impressive results…

Room Escape: A Novel Approach to Team Building

In recent years, events known as “Room Escapes” have exploded in popularity, not only as entertainment but also as effective team building events. Over the last decade, room escape events have seen a huge increase in popularity, with dedicated locations and organizers popping up around the world. A combination of physical adventure and mental challenges, participants are locked in a room and given a timeframe. They then must use elements within the carefully constructed environment to sequentially find clues and solve puzzles which ultimately lead to the participants’ “escape.”   Room Escape events were originally inspired by  “escape the room”…

Post It Art for Children

Your group is sure to be inspired as you create artwork for children in area hospitals. But, rather than trying to paint or make sculptures, you will be making art out of nothing but post it notes! At the start of the event each team will be given an iconic image that is popular for children (Mickey Mouse, a Disney Princess, R2 D2, etc.). The teams will then use post it notes as pixels to re-create larger versions of the artwork. Even if you have little or no artistic ability, it won’t matter as you will get incredibly creative experimenting…
